CNNV supports the aim of the Children Are Unbeatable! Alliance and Global Initiative to end all corporal punishment of children, to give children the same protection from assault in the home and all other settings.

CNNV challenges the view that corporal punishment is a biblical doctrine and believes that positive, non-violent discipline best models Christ's teachings.

CNNV involves Christians of all denominations and works with people from all faiths. All are welcome to be involved in our multi-faith planning and reference group.

CNNV aims to work with others in forming a network of support, information and practical resources to assist people in churches and communities to promote positive, non-violent discipline.

Children were of central importance in Christ's teaching about the new social order. When he spoke about children Jesus confirmed their status as human beings.

A major implication for Christians today and for the way we care for our children, is the personal example of Jesus, who in his teaching about the Kingdom focused on respect for children.
